When photographers are first starting out, they may have a home studio and charge around $600 for a session, for example. Some photographers decide to pack their schedule with more affordable photo shoots to build a client base and reputation, sometimes including mini-shoots and/or renting spaces across town to have more variety. Others may choose to have a work-life balance that is less taxing, often including higher rates so they can avoid burnout and work less in order to spend time with and to better support their families. We have a $500 session fee and our products start at $1,700. Our cost includes the large overhead of the two studio spaces, helps us properly pay our taxes (which to be honest, I miss just having that expense automatically removed from my paychecks, being a business owner is hard!), luxury product costs, maintaining and paying our professional and vetted Glam Squad, session materials, editing software subscriptions, the extensive amount of hours spent editing, and all the behind-the-scenes work required to ensure the business remains successful.
Yes, sometimes we will run a special with a discounted session fee, or do themed minis that are 45 minute sessions with a small amount of edits, but that’s only something we can offer at very specific times a year, and it all depends on how the business forecast is looking overall for the months following.
Additionally, access to two private studios with a personalized style and luxury feel, is a unique experience Infinite Boudoir Studio offers. The luxury experience of being pampered with a hair and make-up stylist, having refreshments and snacks throughout the session, and personalizing the experience with gift bags is geared towards having every client feel glamorous. Boudoir photography should be a luxury experience, and we go to great lengths to make it a special day .
Something to consider – booking a boudoir photography session is akin to investing in a designer bag, the perfect body kit for your car, or any quality item you value. No one expects something purchased at TJ Maxx to outlast items from Saks, for example. Designer brands have the expectation of timeless durability and quality.
